Last year, Orange County United Way was able to provide hope and help to more than 300,000 of OUR neighbors, coworkers, and friends —all made possible because of your generosity and support. However, there are still many more lives to improve and we cannot do it without you.
Orange County is one of the nation’s most prosperous counties, but beyond the beautiful beaches, wonderment of Disneyland and pristine communities, there are more than 229,000 households in OUR community that cannot meet their most basic needs. These are OUR neighbors. OUR coworkers. OUR friends. These families are forced to choose between paying bills, paying rent or putting food on the table. These are OUR youth who are striving for a better future and families who are trying to gain financial independence. We believe this is unacceptable. So we’re changing things.
Orange County United Way is investing in Orange County children, families, and individuals by mobilizing OUR community to meet their most basic human needs—food, shelter, and medical care—while creating pathways to self-sufficient futures through education and training. By focusing on the Building Blocks for a self-sufficient life: Education, Income, and Health, we’re turning things around to strengthen OUR community.
