Community Impact translates to providing basic needs to those in crisis today and supporting long-term solutions to help families and individuals lead self-sufficient lives tomorrow. Orange County United Way’s Community Impact Fund focuses on two approaches: 

Safety Net of Care
Having a direct impact on individuals and families who find themselves in crisis situations today by supporting a safety-net of human care services that provide:

  • Emergency Services
  • Food Services
  • Medical Care Services
  • Shelter Services
  • Other Basic Needs

Long-term Change Solutions
Creating long-term community impact by enabling people to live financially self-sufficient lives and become thriving members of our community. United Way worked with community partners to identify areas that will help us measure results and align our funding to have the greatest impact in Orange County.

  • Increasing Levels of Education
    United Way will support programs and partnerships that ensure our children are ready academically, socially and emotionally for Kindergarten and our youth are prepared to graduate from high school and pursue post secondary education.
  • Achieving Financial Stability
    United Way will support programs and partnerships that assist individuals to increase their knowledge of financial management and attain marketable skills to achieve sustained employment.
