Recognition for the Legacy Society

The newly-established Legacy Society of Orange County United Way consists of generous individuals, foundations and corporations who have made a commitment to sustain the impact of Orange County United Way as a vital community resource now and into the future.  Legacy Society donors have made a commitment of $10,000 or more to support The Endowment for Orange  County’s Future.  The Endowment ensures that Orange County United Way will always exist as a critical safety net, addressing Orange County’s changing community needs regardless of the economic climate or social conditions.
 
Recognition Guidelines for Endowment Gifts
  • Pledges and gifts of more than $1,000 but less than $10,000 to the Endowment Fund will be recognized in all print collateral (Investment Portfolio, Leadership Giving materials, etc.) as a Legacy Society member the year given.
  • Pledges and gifts of $10,000+, but less than $25,000 will be recognized in all print collateral of Orange County United Way (Investment Portfolio, Leadership Giving materials, etc.) as a Tocqueville Legacy Society member the year given.
  • Pledges made in amounts $25,000+ will be recognized in perpetuity as a Legacy Society member and can be fulfilled over a five (5) year period.  These recognition levels will be classified consistent with the Tocqueville levels.
  • Donors making more than one gift will be recognized at the level that represents the cumulative total of their lifetime gifts to the Endowment Fund.
  • Corporate and Foundation gifts will be recognized in the same manner as individual gifts.
  • Members will be recognized in the Investment Portfolio.
  • Members will be recognized in the Orange County United Way Legacy Society Roster.
