Financial Literacy Program

Orange County United Way’s Financial Education Campaign provides low-income individuals and families with effective financial education courses using the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Financial Literacy Program or equivalent. This partnership offers financial education countywide, training and certifying nonprofit partners on the FDIC Financial Literacy Program and then supporting nonprofit partners to provide this resource to their clients. Educational workshops cover financial topics such as budgeting, credit, savings, consumer rights, borrowing, bank services, and home ownership.
The Financial Literacy Program is part of Orange County United Way's Banking On The Future Initiative.
For more information about any of the Banking On the Future programs, please contact Karen Francis, Director, Community Investments at karenf@unitedwayoc.org.
