Our Mission
To improve the lives of children and families in Orange County by leveraging the collective giving power of women.

What We Do
Women Looking Forward (WLF), a giving circle within Orange County United Way’s Leaders’ Society, provides a means to recognize women’s collective investment in Orange County United Way’s Community Impact Fund and their commitment to the needs of children and youth in Orange County. The group seeks to energize and inspire women to make a difference by taking on a leadership role in advancing United Way programs that meet the most critical needs of Orange County children and families.

What It Means to Be a Women Looking Forward Member
When you join WLF, you become part of a group of dedicated women who use their collective power of generosity to improve lives. WLF has a growing membership of more than 180 dedicated women who have given more than $855,000 over five years to support programs geared toward creating pathways to self-sufficient futures for children and families in Orange County. 

Membership and Benefits

• Leverage the collective power of women giving to Orange County United Way’s Community Impact work
• Network with other community-minded women, including joint events with Women’s Philanthropy Fund members
• Engage in volunteer projects that directly address community needs
• Attend quarterly member meetings, an exclusive members-only speakers series focused on topics pertaining to women
• Learn about the real needs and issues affecting our communities

Members of Women Looking Forward make a pledge of $1,000 to $9,999 to Orange County United Way (independent of a spouse), payable over 12 months.

Of your gift, a minimum of 25% of your donation will be directed to Orange County United Way’s Community Impact Fund, which invests in Orange County children, families, and individuals by mobilizing our community to meet their most basic human needs—food, shelter and medical care—while creating pathways to self-sufficient futures through education and training.
