Inspired to make a difference in the local communities across North America, Synoptek employees teamed up to assist those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and other critical challenges in society today. By partnering with United Way and leveraging the capabilities of Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud, Synoptek encouraged employees to participate in Synoptek Gives, an ongoing company-wide program that is committed to social responsibility, compassion and volunteerism, and relaunched this philanthropic initiative just in time for the holiday season.
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Irvine, California, Synoptek, a leading global systems integrator and managed IT consulting and services provider, hosted a Week of Giving in November, a week-long campaign that included a dollar-for-dollar match to all fundraising efforts and a company promise to donate to United Ways across the nation for every hour an employee volunteered, whether virtually or in-person, in activities such as writing letters to soldiers, students, and frontline healthcare workers, preparing care packages at food banks, clothing drives, children’s book donations and more.
“The Synoptek Gives’ Week of Giving is all about doing our part to ensure our communities are in good shape,” said Tim Britt, CEO at Synoptek. “We try to help organizations that are giving back to the community leverage technology and magnify their efforts when possible. In 2020, our team really came together, despite the obstacles they may have been personally facing.”
To add more excitement and energy to fire up the employees during the Week of Giving, Synoptek gathered ambassadors to lead two teams within Synoptek, with the East versus the West, via daily, interactive and collaborative activities that not only helped build stronger team camaraderie through the sense of unity, but also captured the spirit of giving back and advocating for bettering the lives of people in our communities.
Recognized by United Way as a partner to implement Philanthropy Cloud as well as a Philanthropy Cloud Trailblazer in Orange County, Synoptek plans to continue to foster a culture of teamwork, growth and impact in the real world.
