Join us for our next Community Chat as we discuss the newly released 2026 Point In Time Count results and what they reveal about homelessness in Orange County.
The Point In Time Count is a biennial survey that provides vital information about homelessness in Orange County. The data helps our community better understand homelessness, identify trends and changes over time, and guide how local organizations, service providers, and public agencies work together to respond to this complex issue.
This year’s findings reveal important shifts in homelessness trends, including a decline in overall homelessness and unsheltered homelessness, while highlighting ongoing challenges that require continued attention and collaboration.
Moderated by Becks Heyhoe-Khalil, Executive Director of United to End Homelessness at Orange County United Way, the discussion will feature Doug Becht, Director of the County of Orange’s Office of Care Coordination; Matt Bates, Vice President of City Net; and Maricela Rios-Faust, Chief Executive Officer of Human Options and Chair of the Orange County Continuum of Care Board.
Join us as we examine what this year’s results mean for Orange County and how our community can continue advancing solutions that help ensure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home and the opportunity to thrive.
