Our annual Scorecard Event details the progress of our community-wide action plan to change the face of Orange County by 2024.

More than 200 of the most prominent Orange County leaders, including corporate and community partners of United Way, philanthropic experts and engaging speakers, come together with insights into the most critical issues facing our community in Education, Income, Health and Housing.

Together, by the year 2024, we will:
• Cut the high school dropout rate in half
• Reduce the percentage of financially unstable families by 25%
• Increase the number of healthy youth by one-third and
• Cut the percentage of homeless and housing-insecure children in half

Each of us has a stake in creating a healthy, prosperous community. While our first year’s report detailed some gains in moving the needle, it’s an uphill battle. A recent Community Indicators Report noted that, while the high school dropout rate is decreasing and childhood obesity is slowly declining, the lack of affordable housing and low wage jobs are preventing far too many members of our community from succeeding. All of these issues are critical and inter-connected.

Fortunately, by working together and collectively tackling these challenges with long term solutions, we can look forward to celebrating more success stories together at this special event.

Annual Scorecard Event

Thank you for attending the 4th Annual Scorecard Event at Edwards Lifesciences.

At the mid-point of FACE 2024, we can be proud of our community’s results. To continue to make a difference, we must join together to do even more. We have identified how to best focus our efforts in the next five years to maximize impact in each of the four areas and look forward to sharing our progress next year.
