Team Building Volunteer Opportunities in Orange County

Volunteering for community service unites people from diverse backgrounds to work toward a common goal. Here’s your chance to get involved, have fun, and make a difference.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Kit Assembly

This activity can be organized at most venues/offices with specific items or materials tailored to address the particular needs of the intended beneficiaries. These kits provide essential resources that empower both adults and children within our most underserved communities.

Mural Painting

Murals enrich the local community, spark the imagination of students for years to come, and serve as a daily reminder of school pride. Volunteers are not required to have painting experience–instructions and supplies will be provided.

No-Sew Blanket Assembly

Handmade blankets are a fun and easy way to give the gift of warmth and comfort during cold winter months and chilly summer nights. Blankets like these can make a difference for individuals in shelters, senior centers, and VA facilities.

Fitness Day

Engage with Title I elementary school students in a series of fitness activities designed to teach them the importance of physical, emotional, and mental health as well as other important lifelong skills, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Book Drive

Help promote early literacy for Title I elementary school students by donating new books to inspire the joy of reading and to explore the art of storytelling. Whether you donate 1 or 100 books, individually, through your organization, or with a community group, every book makes a difference in the lives of local Orange County children.

In-classroom Reading (Seasonal)

To encourage early grade reading, volunteers visit Title I elementary school classrooms to read to students. This fun activity plays a crucial role in fostering literacy skills and a love of reading in local youth, especially in underserved communities, helping to bridge educational disparities.

School Supply Drive (Seasonal)

Make a difference in the lives of Title I elementary school students in Orange County by donating school supply kits for the upcoming academic year. These essential school supplies will help students succeed on their educational journeys.

SparkJoy

Brighten the holiday season for a local family in need through our SparkJoy – Holiday Wishlist Program. This meaningful opportunity connects volunteers with Orange County families, allowing them to fulfill holiday wish lists and bring joy to children. Gifts will go directly to families participating in our SparkPoint OC financial empowerment program, part of Orange County United Way’s United for Financial Security℠ initiative.

Holiday Food Box

Spread warmth and kindness this holiday season by making a meaningful impact in the lives of families participating in our SparkPoint OC financial empowerment program, part of Orange County United Way’s United for Financial Security℠ initiative. Your generous donation of Holiday Food Boxes will help ensure that those in need can enjoy a warm and nourishing meal during this special time of year.

Thank you to Enterprise Mobility for generously serving as our 2025 Transportation Partner,
helping drive impact across Orange County.
