In recognition of this month’s Surge for Veterans, a Veterans Affairs and partner-led effort to rapidly connect unsheltered Veterans with housing and support, our August Community Chat will highlight the urgent and innovative work to end Veteran homelessness in Orange County.
Join us on Tuesday, August 19 at noon to hear from Jennifer Swan, LCSW, Social Work Supervisor at VA Health Care Systems, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and Melanie Martins, LCSW, VA Supervisory Social Worker for CES & Homeless Outreach at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Together, they’ll share insights into the experiences of Veterans facing homelessness and how this month’s Surge for Veterans events are helping Veterans secure safe housing and connect with essential healthcare and employment opportunities.
Becks Heyhoe-Khalil, Executive Director of United to End Homelessness, Orange County United Way, will moderate the discussion.
Don’t miss this opportunity to listen, engage, and learn how we can support housing solutions that ensure every Veteran in our community has a safe and affordable place to call home, and the opportunity to thrive.
