In the world of many social issues there are special individuals who exhibit an outstanding level of commitment to change conditions in their community.

We consider them champions for change—leaders in our society who show their passion by contributing time, talent and financial resources to help transform our community into an even better place to live and work.

Doing More Through Philanthropy

As a Leader in Giving, you join an exceptional group of champions for change who stand up for creating a lasting impact in Orange County. Take a look and see which Leadership Group is right for you.

The new President’s Circle recognizes its members’ extraordinary dedication to social responsibility and the commitment to creating a better community. Members make an annual donation of at least $10,000 directly supporting our mission and local programs. When you join President’s Circle, you automatically become a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society.

Established in Orange County in 1987 by local philanthropic leaders, United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society has since grown to a membership of nearly 400 local community and business leaders who join nearly 27,000 members throughout the United States. They invest $10,000 or more annually with the greater of $3,000 or 10% invested in United Way’s Community Impact Fund.

Leaders United members are committed to investing in the lives of those in need and building a healthy community for all of Orange County. Members contribute $1,000 to $9,999 annually.

Membership is a thoughtful way to ensure United Way will continue its important work for generations to come when they plan legacy gifts that fulfill their charitable goals.
