Orange County United Way Names Steve Allison as Newest Board Member

Respected attorney returns to the local Board of Directors, continuing his long affiliation with the non-profit organization

Irvine, CA, November 12, 2019 – Orange County United Way welcomes back respected attorney Steve Allison to its Board of Directors.

Steve has deep roots with Orange County United Way, having served on its board from 2005 to 2017. That long tenure included service as chair/vice chair from 2012 to 2016. Currently, Allison is a President’s Circle member of their Alexis de Tocqueville Society.

“Steve embodies the spirit of community and will be a terrific asset to our board as we carry out our important work for the education, health, housing and financial stability for every person in Orange County,” said Susan B. Parks, president and CEO of Orange County United Way. “We were lucky to have him serve on our board for 12 years and look forward to working with him again during this important time in the evolution of Orange County United Way.”

Allison is a trial and class action defense lawyer, and partner at Troutman Sanders LLP in Irvine. He has represented clients in a number of industries, and has handled the defense of significant nationwide consumer class actions for clients in the financial services, telecommunications, technology, retail, consumer products and entertainment industries. Allison also has deep experience in insurance coverage matters and has handled a wide variety of complex business disputes.

“I’m honored to serve another term on Orange County United Way’s Board of Directors and continue to build on the momentum at United Way for greater philanthropic impact in our community,” Allison said. “Together, we will continue to make Orange County an even better place to work and live by helping improve the lives of all of our neighbors.”
