Your family can help an Orange County family at risk of homelessness due to income reduction caused by the current health crisis through our OC Family to Family Campaign.
For every $500 donated, one vulnerable family will receive a $500 emergency debit card to help with rent and food. By donating, your family will have a direct impact on keeping a family housed.
To give your family’s donation an even bigger impact, The Lyons-Smith Family Foundation is generously providing a dollar-for-dollar match during this campaign, up to $500,000! If you donate $5, your donation will become $10. If you donate $500, your donation will become $1,000 and so forth.
If you have children, the OC Family to Family Campaign provides an opportunity to teach them about the importance of helping others in times of need or can provide an opportunity to reinforce your family’s values of giving back.

Inspire your extended family and friends to join you in raising $500 to collectively help an Orange County family. Creating a Facebook Fundraiser is a great way to do this! Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create one:
Step 1: From a desktop computer, go to https://www.facebook.com/UnitedWayOC/ and click ‘Fundraisers.’
Step 2: Click the ‘Raise Money’ button.
Step 3: Enter your fundraising amount and the end date, and then click “Next”.
NOTE: We recommend a two week fundraising period.
Step 4: Customize the “Tell Your Story” section (recommendation below), and click ‘Next’.
