Chef Zov will share the story of her early beginnings as a female chef and restaurant owner. Dr. Mahtab Jafari
Dr. Mahtab Jafari is currently a Professor at the UCI School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Director of the “UCI Center for Healthspan Sciences.” She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She is passionate about teaching the community healthy lifestyle choices to improve their healthspan. She is the author of the award-winning book, “The Truth About Dietary Supplements: An Evidence-Based Guide to a Safer Medicine Cabinet.”
Chef Zov Karamardian
Zov Karamardian has won international attention for her namesake restaurant, Zov’s Bistro, in Tustin, CA. Zov’s popularity is due to her unique, exotic spice combinations that surprise and delight food aficionados to such a degree that the cover of “OC Metro” Magazine has praised her as “The First Lady of Food.” In 1999, Zov was named California Chef of the Year by Governor Gray Davis. Her public service and contributions to the food industry have been recognized with countless other awards. For the last fifteen years, Zov has been teaching classes nationwide at the popular cooking school, Sur La Table, and at her own Bistro.
