INCREASE YOUR IMPACT EVEN FURTHER THROUGH THE WOMEN’S PHILANTHROPY FUND

The Women’s Philanthropy Fund helps OC women and their families who are facing poverty and housing instability build toward self-sufficient lives by supporting United Way’s Impact Hubs. By bringing comprehensive programming to local schools and other centers for community life, Impact Hubs allow students and their families to easily access services.

Currently, the Women’s Philanthropy Fund supports Impact Hubs at Title I schools including Paul Revere Elementary in Anaheim and R.H. Dana Elementary in Dana Point, where 80% of families from both schools are considered low-income.

Your contribution funds Impact Hub programming such as:

  • SparkPoint OC financial empowerment program
  • Food pantry
  • Financial literacy for students
  • Physical education/After-school programs
  • Early grade reading
  • Campus beautification programs

Additionally, we provide life-changing stipend grants through partner non-profits that are helping low-income women and families. We pride ourselves on being nimble and strive to help whenever possible as long as the gift is leading to self-sufficiency.

SUPPORT THE WOMEN’S PHILANTHROPY FUND

Women United members can increase their impact in our community through an additional annual minimum investment of $1,000* to the Women’s Philanthropy Fund. This giving level offers the opportunity to collaboratively decide the distribution of funds that provide direct client services and address important issues affecting our community.

“We cannot accomplish all that is needed as individuals, but with Orange County United Way and the Women’s Philanthropy Fund, our dollars go further together.” Laurie Dubchansky, Founder/CEO, Havaplan Financial, and Women United co-chair
