Impacting Our Community with the Most Dollars Raised
Pacific Life Insurance Company is the 2016 recipient of the Dimensions in Giving Award. This award is the most prestigious United Way honor and recognizes the corporate partner that truly impacts our community through the most dollars raised for United Way’s Community Impact Fund, active volunteer service and an overall commitment through contributions of time, leadership, resources and a spirit of giving. This marks the fifth time Pacific Life received this award including 1991, 1992, 2012 and 2014.
During the 2015/16 workplace giving campaign Pacific Life raised nearly $600,000, including the generous corporate matching program, for United Way’s Community Impact Fund. The “Good Guys” volunteer group impacted the community throughout the year by volunteering their time and talent.
Staying Extremely Active Within the Work of United Way
Edwards Lifesciences charitable giving and participation in philanthropic causes is one of the defining elements of their culture. Edwards Lifesciences is extremely active within the work of United Way including representation on our Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet as well as affinity groups. They have also supported United Way through sponsoring special events and conducting an extremely successful workplace giving campaign raising nearly $315,000 for United Way’s Community Impact Fund.
Providing Expertise and Energy to Help Achieve our Goals
Fluor Corporation’s 2015/16 workplace giving campaign raised over $276,000 for United Way’s Community Impact Fund, including 129 Leadership Donors (people who give a minimum of $1,000 annually). Fluor is also very active in the United Way’s Loaned Executive program, each year lending one of their best and brightest employees to help provide expertise and energy to help achieve our goals in Education, Income, Health and Housing. Fluor Cares is their employee volunteer program that engages and empowers their people to make a difference in the community where they live and work.
